Chat Box Guidelines
1. Private chatting, instant
messaging, and e-mailing between students IS NOT allowed during class. Talk to your friends after class. You can talk to your friends anytime
outside. You only have me for 90
minutes. I expect your complete
attention. I give lots of hints during
class. You need to be listening.
2. You must sign into class
using your proper class log-in name. You
earn participation points in my class.
Your participation points are assigned to your school log-in name
only. Participation points are bonus
points which help your grade.
3. Please do not use
“Smiley” faces in my chat box. They take
up room. Our chat box is small and I
need to be able to see as much of it as possible.
4. Type a “?” in the chat
box if you have a question. As soon as
you type your question mark, begin typing your question. Wait until I call on you to hit the “Enter”
key.
5. Type a “?m” if you want
to ask a question on microphone. If your
question is LONG, this is a great option to save your fingers.
6. Type a “!” in the chat
box if you want to answer one of my questions.
Doing so means you are raising your hand and want to answer.
7. Type a “!m” if you want
to answer a question on microphone. Save
this option for LONG answers.
8. Type a “Y” for “Yes” and
“N” for “No”
